LinkedIn Adds New Interactive Tools for Content Creators

LinkedIn has unveiled new tools designed to help users get more engagement from visual content on the content platform. The latest additions include post templates and clickable links on images and videos, with more to come later this fall.

“With a 20% increase YoY in people adding visual content in their posts on LinkedIn, we love seeing new ways professionals are building engaging content through videos and images. We want to make it even easier to create visual content that helps you stand out and inspire your professional community,” the company explained yesterday.

LinkedIn’s upcoming creator tools will be designed for mobile users, which is nice. With the new post templates, users will get access to a selection of customizable backgrounds and fonts to create posts that will better stand out in the newsfeed of LinkedIn users.

LinkedIn will also make it easy to add clickable links directly onto images and videos with a custom link text. Both post templates and clickable links will start rolling out to LinkedIn users on the coming weeks, the company said.

Lastly, the professional social network has also started testing new carousels that will mix images and videos. This new swipeable format will start rolling out to more users later this fall. “We have more interactive tools for sharing content coming soon,” the company said.
