Dropbox is updating its app on both Windows and Windows Phone today, with the big news being that the app is now a universal app with shared code across both platforms. The change is most readily apparent on Windows Phone, where the app suddenly achieves a nice functional parity with what used to be a more mature app on “big” Windows.

Here’s what’s new. As you’ll see, the change list is quite big on Windows Phone.
Shared folders. You can now create and manage shared folders within the app.
Keyboard shortcuts. Dropbox added keyboard shortcuts to select all items (Ctrl + A) and to search (Ctrl + F).
Improved download speeds

Universal app. The Windows Phone app is now a universal app that adapts properly to your screen size.
Upload more files. Previously you could only upload photos from the phone app.
Select multiple files to upload. Previously, you could only upload
SD card support. Now you can download files directly to your device or SD card if present.
Access Dropbox from other apps. Now you can save or open files to and from Dropbox within other apps.
Easier sharing. When inviting people to a shared folder, you can now select contacts from the phone.
