Should Apple take advantage of Sonos stumbles and make good premium speakers?

With Sonos struggling so hard to make basic progress on their new app it seems like this would be a good opportunity for competitors to take advantage and highlight their solutions and try to pull market away from Sonos. Apple seems to have the software, industrial design, and manufacturing to product premium speakers, but seems to keep getting hung up on them being “smart.” I would be interested to see what Apple could produce if they went head to head with Sonos and made a line of speakers competing with the Era 100 / 300,the Move / Roam, as well as a soundbar.

It seems like Apple would do well in this category, I wonder why they don’t just make more home speaker products? The HomePods just seem to be odd and not what premium audio fans are looking for. What do you think?
