Active Stylus for Dell 3100 chromebook?

My daughter wanted to get a stylus for her Dell 3100 2 in 1 chromebook that she received from the school. I asked the school IT dept and they didn’t know if it would work with one or not. I looked it up online and it seems that some versions of this model will and some will not. I tried to find info from Dell, but all of the compatibility information I could find related to Windows devices. I found out that you can tell compatibility on a Windows laptop in settings, does chromebook have a similar way to tell?
