Goolge is not having a great week. "Google’s silent Chrome experiment crashes thousands of browsers"

This seems like a pretty big deal and a good way to erode trust. Google launched an “experiment” on stable versions of Chrome without letting anyone know. The change left thousands of machines in businesses with broken Chrome browsers and their IT dept in the dark on what could have happened.

We have hundreds, if not thousands of Chrome installs in our business, but mainly the Enterprise version. No problems at all this week. I know this 'pause tab' feature is something Google are working on, but maybe they could have handled the testing a bit better.

Still Microsoft are still the experts on eroding trust. Everyone still remembers GWX I hope, amongst others!

In reply to ghostrider:

The issue was specific to installs running on VMs. This had major implications for some very big companies according to the article at least.
