Anyone else think the failed demos were staged?

I get Microsoft wanting to temper expectations for the developer edition this spring. They want to message it is rough and only for developer’s and enthusiasts. A soft launch that’s not for the general public, yet. Why can’t Microsoft just say that?

Why would someone who has been working on something for a long time want to show off something that fails? Of course they weren't staged. It's not good to be that cynical.
