Opinions of Microsoft Defender

Is anyone using the new Microsoft Defender? Any opinions? Privacy concerns?

I just received an email from Microsoft reminding me that it is included in my Family Subscription to Office 365. The very next email received was an obvious phishing attempt that should never have made it through even the simplest of filters. Just wondering if the new product is any better at preventing this than Microsoft’s current failed attempts.
