In reply to Hypnotoad:

Tekken and Hitman are big names at least.

But you're right, the strategy is getting a little played out. Most of the major single player games/franchises have already been offered, and multiplayer games can run into issues of technical and fan support. Of course there are always new games coming out and XBLG still offers multiplayer.

But I imagine they'll pivot farther to game pass and away from this with new hardware – why have two subscription game services? Esp with the rise of free shooter games (Fortnite, PUBG, EA's shooter) on PC and mobile. Rather than raising the prices in a year or two, I could see them pruning the low cost option (gold) and either making multiplayer free or only available in a gamepass bundle. The tendency is to have more subscription services rather than less, but I think it's needlessly complicated now (I've been stung by this, not being able to sign up for gold until gamepass ultimate expired, even though I had alraedy paid for a code).

I like Xbox, Live Gold, and Game Pass. I like to value of the free games. But, there is no way an Xbox 360 in 2019 is worth $49.99, especially one that I never heard of before.

In reply to RM:

exactly, and then to compensate for the inflated price of the 360, they give us a $4.99 Xbox One game…
