Over 4 Million Gamers are Now Playing PUBG on Xbox One

In just two weeks, usage of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has grown by an additional one million users on Xbox One.

As you may recall, Microsoft announced two weeks ago that there were over three million people playing PUBG on Xbox One. Today, that figure stands at four million people.

“The PUBG community on Xbox One has now grown to over four million players,” a Microsoft representative told me. “Additionally, players who have purchased the game and created a character by January 31, 2018 will be gifted 30,000 Battle Points to use toward in-game cosmetic item purchases.”

In another show of the game’s popularity, Microsoft also noted that PUBG has been the top gifted title in the Microsoft Store since its release.

Microsoft is also announcing the sixth major update to PUBG on Xbox One, which launched in December in a preview. According to the release notes, this version adds more optimizations and fixes, an auto-run feature, and more. The firm says that it will “continue to build on the foundation we’ve laid with PUBG on Xbox One with the feedback received from the community.”

PUBG costs $29.99 and is available from the Microsoft Store on Xbox.

I'm interested in this game, but read about performance problems on the OG XBox One… Is anyone running this on the XBox One X? If so, is performance better?

Paul or Brad… Didn't one of you say you were going to test this on one of the First Ring Dailies?

I'm confused, Microsoft don't develop PUBG so why are they trying to take credit for the success generated by the actual devs? Devs also announce patches not platform holders surely?
