I don’t normally report on individual game titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. But this is a big one.
“Rocket League is joining Xbox Game Pass!” Rocket League Game Director Scott Rudi announced on Microsoft’s Xbox Wire blog. “For those of you who haven’t seen Rocket League in action yet, imagine combining soccer with driving and then add some rocket boosters. You choose from a variety of customizable vehicles and then compete in the highest tiers of ranked play online, or just goof around with your friends — however you want to play.”

Rocket League is a special game, which I can tell, in part, because my son plays it all the time. It’s a neat combination of sports and battle, and a great time-waster for individuals or teams.
And it joins an ever-growing selection of over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles: As Mehedi recently wrote, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, DiRT 4, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and several others are all being added to the collection this month.
And those not subscribed to Xbox Game Pass can still buy Rocket League for $20, of course.
