Xbox One’s much-awaited mouse and keyboard support is almost here. Microsoft has been testing the new feature with Xbox Insiders for a couple of weeks, and it’s now ready to be shipped to the public. At X018 yesterday, Microsoft announced yesterday that the company will officially release support for mouse and keyboard control for games on the Xbox One next week.
The update will only enable support for selected games. However, for all your games to work with mouse and keyboard, developers will have to manually update their game to support mouse and keyboard experiences. Microsoft says the firm will deliver developers with the required tools for them to update their games with mouse and keyboard support.

But you are probably wondering what games you can play with mouse and keyboard on the Xbox One — and you probably won’t be disappointed. First things first, Fortnite is going to support mouse and keyboard on the Xbox One. Along with Fortnite, Warframe, Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense will get support for mouse and keyboard on the Xbox One. Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface, and Wargroove will be adding support for the new feature in the future. More big titles will likely follow, though I was a little surprised to see the lack of support from Microsoft’s own first-party games like Forza and Sea of Thieves.
Microsoft says Razer, as its official partner for providing the “best” mouse and keyboard on the Xbox One, will introduce new Designed for Xbox mouse and keyboard devices at CES in January. The new keyboards and mouse come with a dedicated Xbox key, as well as a new Xbox Dynamic Lighting feature that enables immersive in-game lighting effects. In other words, the backlit keys probably change with the colors of the gameplay.
