Spotify to Offer 6-Months of Free Premium to Galaxy S10 Owners

Samsung’s newest Galaxy S10 line releases today. And Spotify is announcing a major expansion of its partnership with Samsung to help S10 owners get more out of their devices.

The companies first announced their partnership back in August of last year, integrating Spotify into Samsung devices, including the company’s upcoming Galaxy Home speaker.

As part of the latest expansion, Spotify will come pre-installed on new Samsung devices globally. The company’s music streaming app will come included out-of-the-box on the new Galaxy S10 devices worldwide.

“We were very excited to be named Samsung’s go-to music streaming service several months ago and today’s news will only ensure a more seamless Spotify listening experience across devices for listeners around the world,” said Sten Garmark, the VP of Consumer Products at Spotify.

And if you are in the United States, you will also be getting 6 months of free Spotify Premium. There is a catch, though: you are only eligible for the offer if you have never used Spotify Premium in the past, or even tried a trial for the service.

All this really means is that users who do not use Spotify will have one more piece of bloat that cannot be removed.
