Paul, you're correct, we should make tech decisions based on what works for us. The frustration is that, all too often, I've made exactly those decisions only to have Microsoft repeatedly yank the rug out from under me. And, as you're no doubt aware, I'm probably one of the most hardcore enthusiasts for what Microsoft was trying to do with Metro and the Windows 8/Windows phone approach, as well as such things as Groove. The feature set, services and convenience that I absolutely embraced is simply unmatched by ANYONE. Even Microsoft's own attempts to migrate these things to Android are lame at best. It is quite impossible for me to be able to do on Android (and now, on Xbox and to some extent on Windows 10) all the things I was able to do before. The fact that I'm obviously in a very small minority of people who desire those things, sees the value of those things, creates even greater frustration. Majority rules…and it completely sucks when you're the minority.
