Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Crackdown 2 is now free on Xbox One

Following the original Crackdown, Crackdown 2 is now free on Xbox One.

Plus: Spotify Premium users can get free (ad-supported) Hulu

App pick of the week: Google Chrome 73

It’s bringing Dark mode and PWA support on macOS Mojave and DuckDuckGo support everywhere.

Plus: CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2019 is here, and you can get it on the Mac too!

Plus, a reverse app-pick. I’m looking for a new podcast app.

Enterprise pick of the week: No more Semi-Annual Channel releases for System Center

Users have spoken and they don’t want SAC. The only System Center product that will continue to get multiple feature updates is Config Manager.

Developer pick of the week: DTrace support is coming to Windows 10 19H1

Debuggers and diagnosticians, rejoice

Beer pick of the week: Two Roads Brewing Co. Irish Exit

Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day. You need an Irish stout that isn’t necessarily Guiness. Two Roads from Connecticut makes a traditional style, low ABV dry stout that’s available on Nitro. And even better, it’s called Irish Exit. (If you don’t know what an Irish exit is, here you go.)

I had missed this show, and tuned it in ESPECIALLY for the One Note information that had been promised. I just watched the show twice and couldn't find ANY info about One Note. Could I have missed it twice? Thanks… Dave McLaughlin, California
