Hi, If you are like me and hate the widgets in Win 11, then you probably disabled them i the taskbar settings. But did you notice that that although the icon is disabled the widgets is still running? and you can still swipe in from the left to open the dumpster fire of spam news? Not only that at idle the widgets application is one of the highest consumers of memory at idle (2nd highest on my system). So to kill it, open a powershell with admin permissions and use: Get-AppxPackage MicrosoftWindows.Client.WebExperience | Remove-AppxPackage So far it has gone and no other issues. It could be reinstalled by future updates so I will keep checking.
