Paul, I wonder if you could provide your thoughts on the smaller phone market and its place in the new world? For people who want a more one-handed phone (5-inch two years ago, 5.5? in this new 18:9 world?) I’m not sure whether that should be in the form of a Premium article, Ask Paul or reply to this thread.
Currently I have a Nexus 5X, which I plan to keep through the end of next year. I find it too wide, however, and am worried that, even the new, tall and not-wide form factor, most phones are still going to be too wide (and tall?). (Due to disability, I can only use one hand.) The non-plus versions are generally getting larger as well.
It’s possible that I am just venting frustration at the coverage and assumptions towards “plus” models. (Reports of the problems with the Pixel 2XL, but no disclaimers that they were XL-specific; there not being a OnePlus equivalent.) It’s also possible that, if I get one, I will be able to get used to it.
