I have used a Surface Pro 4 for the last four years now. Given the amount of software installs / uninstalls over the years I'm wondering:
- is a clean install or refresh of windows possible?
- is it prudent to do so? Does anyone have experience with this?
Would / could Patreon (or something similar) work for Thurrot.com?
Ultimately, it's for Paul, Brad and Mehedi to decide of course, just curious about everyone's thoughts on this.
Context: just watched a post on Youtube by Lindsay Ellis and apparently Patreon works for her (afaik), which made me wonder...
(if this question has been asked before, please let know, I couldn't find it on the forums).
The post on Thurrot.com about the Xbox sale made me go to the Microsoft store on the web,
which redirected me to the Dutch version. I am Dutch, so thát at least makes sense.
What doesn't make sense is the link seen under games and entertainment:
Windows Phone... huh... guess no one at MS NL got the memo that it's dead.
Is this also an option in your countries?
(off topic braindump : this,of course feeds into my prejudice that the Netherlands is like the place where everything happens 10 years later
... like ... the Shire .. okay, that analogy breaks down pretty quickly considering the average person's length)
If Nadella's strategy for Microsoft is all about intelligent edge, cloud, etc, etc...
how do headphones and earbuds fit in that picture?
I got an email from Microsoft today: I've earned the Flight Lieutenant Badge ! Yeh.
(you get this for installing the 19H1 insider preview build)
Given the clusterfork with release 1809, I think Microsoft should get a badge too!
What do you think it should be?
TLDR: would it be interesting to us readers, if Paul shares his thoughts on his work proces/time management/work organization/etc ?
Context: In an article by Paul about the Microsoft launcher was a picture of Paul's agenda (I presume). The agenda had an item namend Deep work. I guess an amount of time where there's no disturbance whatsoever so he can get some real work done.
Sounds interesting and something I'd like to have as well. I currently have to write an SLA (not fun) and said post made me deliberately take a work-at-home day to get it done.
Paul has to write ánd do podcasts ánd is on the road a lot. Sounds like a challenge, so I'd personally would like to hear his thoughts on this.
