When Windows 10 was announced Microsoft said they would be updating the product faster and providing more features sooner. This has been the case and we are getting ready to have the third major release since it was launched in 2015. Right now the update schedule has not really had a pattern and it looks like we will get another update later this year. But do we really need major releases this quick??
I agree that Windows needed to have faster updates vs the 3-4 year cycle we had before. Apple has done this with OSX, and a yearly major update process allows for more time to make bigger, well baked, changes to the OS. Then you have smaller bug fixes and minor improvements over the rest of the year.
