Apple says the ECG feature on Watch Series 4 is now CE marked and cleared in the European Economic Area. “We’ve seen the ECG App and irregular rhythm notifications on Apple Watch have meaningful impact on our customers across the United States” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. “We are excited to bring these features to customers in Europe and Hong Kong, giving them access to empowering information about their heart health.”
The new feature can be enabled through the Health app on your iPhone and you can take an EKG through the EKG app on your Watch, but do keep in mind that you will need an iPhone running the latest iOS 12.2 update as well.

I like the irregular heartbeat function. There is a very specific circumstance in which I was pretty sure my heart was racing momentarily but the problem is that in that situation I am slow to notice, it races and then quickly stops and it is a situation where people can be prone to errrr. paranoia. Anyway, when the feature was added I was able to actually confirm it was happening vs. just being paranoid.
