Microsoft Releases Minor Patch for Windows 10 May 2019 Update to Insiders

Microsoft is expected to start rolling out the next major update for Windows 10, the May 2019 Update, sometime later this month. It has been testing the update with Insiders in the Release Preview ring for a couple of weeks, and it has already released two quality updates for it.
And just ahead of the upcoming rollout of the update, Microsoft has pushed the third quality update for the May 2019 update to Insiders in the Release Preview and Slow rings. The release is quite odd as Microsoft usually doesn’t push any updates over a weekend, but here we are.

The update, KB4505057, bumps the May 2019 update to build 18362.116 and comes with only 2 bug fixes:
- Addresses an issue that may prevent access to some gov.uk websites that don’t support HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) when using Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge.
- Addresses an issue in which installation may fail with the error, “0x800f081f – CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING.”
There doesn’t seem to be any known issues for the build, so if you want to get your hands on the next major version of Windows 10 before everyone else, you probably won’t have much to worry about if you were to install it on your main machine. Microsoft will likely start the public rollout of the update sometime later this month, so keep an eye out for it. The update will be rolled out in different phases, so don’t expect it to hit your device on day 1.
