Windows 10’s Feedback Hub Gets Important Updates

Microsoft is announcing some new changes for the Feedback Hub app in Windows 10. These new features are currently being tested and will be available to Windows Insiders sometime soon. The updates aren’t anything major, but they are quite important in terms of making Feedback Hub a better system for submitting feedback.

Feedback Hub now lets you add similar feedback, which means if you find a problem that’s already been submitted, you can now provide your own “take” on the problem, with more details if available, and your own description of the problem to help Microsoft track it down more quickly. “Voting on the search page often did not provide enough detail as to what was happening, and we saw that few people went into existing feedback to add their personal reproduction of the issue,” Microsoft said.

And thus, this new similar feedback option will allow you to quickly submit more details on an existing problem, with some of the fields already pre-filled. You’ll also be able to add your own reproduction steps and attachments if needed.

Feedback Hub’s interface is also getting updated to help you differentiate better between problems and suggestions with new icons and color indications.

And last but not least, Microsoft is giving Windows Insider Achievements its own page within Feedback Hub where it now gives you the ability to categorize different achievements and track your progress better.

These new features are only rolling out to Insiders for now, so it will probably be a while before regular Windows 10 users have any of these new features.
