To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the original Surface Pro, Microsoft is cutting $200 off the newest version of the product: the Surface Pro 2017.
Microsoft celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Surface earlier this week, and the Surface’s team leader Panos Panay today wrote a bit of the product’s journey on a blog post. “When we first launched it was rare to spot a student, a work traveler, or an artist out in public with a Surface Pro, each time we saw one we would snap a picture, talk to the customer and find out what they loved about the device,” Panay said. Over the five years, Microsoft’s Surface Pro line, as well as other Surface devices, experienced a lot of growth both in terms of quality and innovation. “Today, we feel both fortunate and proud that this vision of Surface has become a reality with people using Surface Pro every day and loving the experience,” Panay added.
