
It’s only been broadly available for two days, but over one million people are already playing State of Decay 2, Microsoft’s latest Xbox Play Anywhere title.
“We wanted to welcome and say thank you to the over one million fans playing State of Decay 2, helping break the million player mark,” Microsoft general manager Aaron Greenberg notes.
Granted, the game launched in Early Access for those who purchased the Ultimate Edition on May 18, which was a week ago. But in this new world of Microsoft finding other metrics for success, crossing the million player mark is notable on a video game platform that is being outsold, probably dramatically, by the market leader. (It’s hard to tell what the real difference is here, since this game works on Windows 10 PCs as well as the Xbox One.)

Greenberg also notes that gamers have uncovered a few “bugs and issues” and that Microsoft is working to resolve those quickly.
