A credible report claims that Google will hold its annual hardware event on October 9. But there is a twist. This time, it will be held in New York.
“Google plans to debut new Pixel phones on October 9 at a media event in New York City, people familiar with the plans said,” a Bloomberg report about Apple’s upcoming new iPhones claims. “A Google spokeswoman declined to comment.”

Google, of course, will release other hardware devices at this event, including two Pixelbook Chromebooks, a first-ever Google-branded smartwatch, and possibly more. New Chromecast dongles, for example, are in the works.
But the world’s attention is focused largely on Google’s Pixel handsets. And boy, have they leaked. And leaked and leaked and leaked again. By now, I’d imagine there is literally nothing Google could surprise us with.
Unless, of course, they want to lower the price. Which they should. And won’t.
