Samsung Launches Its Second Android Go Device

Samsung launched its first ever Android Go device, the Galaxy J2 Core, back in August. The company is now back with a successor to its first Android Go device.

The new device is called J4 Core, and it’s not much of a huge upgrade from the J2 Core. It now has a slightly bigger screen with a 6-inch TFT panel which is not only bigger than the 5-inch screen, but it also packs more pixels with a resolution of 1480×720 pixels. The device has an unnamed 1.4GHz quad-core processor, reports Android Police.

It also packs double the storage than the J2 Core, coming with 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expandable storage. The battery of the device is 3,300mAh which should be just about enough.

For the cameras, you are only getting a single 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera. These specs are obviously nothing outside of this world, and that’s obviously the point of these low-end Android Go devices.

Samsung isn’t announcing the pricing and availability of the J4 Core yet, but considering the J2 Core cost around $110, the J4 Core should be priced around the same.
