Microsoft to Sell a Fortnite Xbox Wireless Controller

Microsoft announced this week that it will soon offer a standalone version of its Fortnite Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller. The controller had previously only been available as part of the Xbox One S Fortnite Battle Royale Special Edition Bundle.

“To kick off the Fortnite World Cup, we’re excited to announce the Xbox Wireless Controller – Fortnite Special Edition, featuring an epic purple design and the Legendary Dark Vertex outfit,” Microsoft’s Bree White announced.

As one would expect, the Xbox Wireless Controller – Fortnite Special Edition is compatible with all Xbox One consoles, and with Windows 10 PCs. It is based on the latest controller design that features both Bluetooth compatibility and a 3.5mm headphone jack. And it will be available starting September 17 at Microsoft Store and retailers worldwide for $65.

Microsoft also notes that the Fortnite World Cup Finals are being held this weekend, on July 26, 27, and 28 starting at 1:00 pm ET each day. You can watch the live stream on Mixer.
