Existing subscribers will start receiving the following email informing them about the upcoming price increase starting with their next billing cycle in July. Premium users currently on a trial will be given one month on the previous $10.99 price before being charged the new $11.99/month price.

Spotify recently raised its prices in the UK and a couple of other markets, and it also put features like lyrics behind its Premium paywall. The company had 239 million are paid subscribers as of April 2024, a number that was up 14% year-over-year. However, with this latest price increase, Spotify Premium is now more expensive than Apple Music, YouTube Music Premium, or Amazon Music Unlimited in the US.
