Proton Drive is Now Available for Businesses

Proton announced a new Proton Drive for Business offering that provides secure file storage and document collaboration capabilities.

“At Proton, we believe you should have complete control of your data, which is why we’re excited to announce the launch of Proton Drive for Business,” Proton’s Anant Vijay writes. “Proton Drive provides secure and private cloud storage, file sharing, and document editing. Our new business-focused plans empower you and your team to work with the confidence that everything you store, share, and edit is protected with strong encryption for data security and compliance by default.”

Proton Drive for Business is precisely what it sounds like, a version of Proton Drive aimed at businesses that provides the same end-to-end encryption and other security safeguards, but with support for teams of users and Docs in Proton Drive document editing and collaboration capabilities.

Proton Drive Professional for teams provides 1 TB of storage and one year of file version history. It typically costs $9.99 per user per month, but it’s available for 40 percent off for a limited time, or $5.99 per user per month, when billed annually. Proton Drive is also now part of Proton Business Suite, which is likewise on sale for 13 percent off ($12.99 per user per month when billed annually) and includes Proton Mail, Calendar, VPN, and Pass as well. (The base storage tier is now 1 TB, up from 512 GB.)
