Netflix’s mobile games have now crossed over 210 million downloads according to a new report from mobilegamer.biz citing data from Appmagic. It’s now been three years since Netflix made a small selection of games available to its subscribers on mobile devices, and the company has also started releasing internally developed games based on existing game IPs as well as popular Netflix shows.
The data from this new report shows that the most downloaded Netflix game is the remastered version of GTA: San Andreas with 25.2 million downloads. The game and the rest of GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is exclusively available via Netflix Games on iOS and Android.

Netflix’s collection of mobile games is a strange mix of AAA games like the GTA trilogy, other popular IPs like Football Manager and Farming Simulator, and a lot of casual games, with many of them based on Netflix’s shows such as Stranger Things: 1984. At Gamescom 2024, the company teased two upcoming exclusive games, Squid Game: Unleashed and Monument Valley 3
Netflix appears to be very serious about gaming, though these 210 million lifetime game downloads still need to be taken with some perspective. Two years ago, data from Apptopia revealed that less than 1% of Netflix subscribers were engaging with the platform’s mobile games daily.
In addition to its investments in mobile games, Netflix has also started testing a cloud gaming service for TVs in the US, UK, and Canada last year. Mike Verdu, the company’s VP of Gaming said last year that it was part of the company’s “long-term vision to make games playable on every device.”
