Following the launch of Xbox Game Pass Standard in September, Microsoft is changing how it announces new Game Pass games. Now, some games are coming to all Game Pass tiers (Standard, PC, and Ultimate) at the same time, but we’re also seeing Game Pass games that were previously excluded from the new Standard tier come to it.
That’s the case for MLB the Show 24 and Open Roads, two games that were already available on the now-discontinued Xbox Game for Console and that will now be coming to Game Pass Standard tomorrow, October 2. As a reminder, Xbox Game Pass Standard offers access to hundreds of games, but it doesn’t include day one additions from Xbox Game Studios and other developers. Old blockbuster games such as Diablo IV, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Starfield, and Forza Motorsport are also excluded from the Game Pass Standard library.
The three new games coming to all Game Pass tiers this month are Sifu (October 2), Mad Streets (October 7), and Inscryption (October 10). These three games will also be available on Xbox Cloud Gaming for Game Pass Ultimate susbcribers.
Five games will also be removed from the Game Pass library on October 15. The list includes Dyson Sphere, Everspace 2, From Space, F1 Manager 2023, and Scorn. Game Pass subscribers can purchase them with a 20% discount before they leave the service.
