Proton has expanded its Proton Pass password management solution to include a Family plan that supports up to 6 users.
“To help you spend more time with your family and less time-solving tech issues, we’re introducing the Proton Pass Family plan,” Proton’s Son Nguyen Kim writes. “This plan gives you a password manager built for family life — perfect for helping your kids and parents stay safe online with ease.”
For those unfamiliar, Proton Pass is a password manager, though that term needs a revisit because Proton Pass, like most of these solutions, does a lot more. It can also securely store passkeys, bank and credit cards, notes, and other information, it monitors your online accounts for breaches and more, and it works across desktop, web browser (via extensions), and mobile. You can also share vaults of stored info with others–family members, in this case–with that information always synced and up to date.
Proton Pass Family normally costs $4.99 per month (when paid annually, so a bit under $60 per year) but it’s available temporarily for $3.99 per month (~$48).
