Proton Pass Adds Lifetime Offer, SimpleLogin Premium Features

Proton Pass Lifetime offer

Proton announced a new lifetime offer and SimpleLogin premium features for its Proton Pass password manager, plus a winter and spring product roadmap.

“For a limited time, Proton Pass is offering something we’ve never offered before: Lifetime access to Proton Pass Plus and SimpleLogin premium,” Proton’s Son Nguyen Kim explains. “Instead of renewing every month or year, you can now make a one-time payment of $199 to enjoy all Proton Pass Plus and SimpleLogin premium features, forever.”

The lifetime offer is part of the Proton 2024 end-of-year sale, which ends December 3 and offers big savings on Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Pass, and Proton Drive.

SimpleLogin is Proton’s email alias service. There’s a free tier, but SimpleLogin Premium offers unlimited aliases, unlimited custom domains, and more for $36 per year (or $4 per month). But if you pay for Proton Pass Plus, you get these features now as part of that subscription too.

“We’re integrating the advanced alias features available in SimpleLogin into our Proton Pass Plus subscription, so you won’t need to maintain two different subscriptions,” the firm announced separately.  “The two subscriptions are now consistent: Pass Plus will include SimpleLogin Premium, and SimpleLogin Premium now includes Pass Plus.”

As for the roadmap, Proton will add several new features to Proton Pass in the coming months, including the ability to attach documents, pictures, and other files to stored items, permanent single item sharing, automatic clipboard clearing after a set period of time, complex autofill (with one-click 2FA, identity, and credit card autofill), item drag-and-drop between vaults, emergency access for family and friends, auto-type so you can autofill on desktop apps that don’t support this natively, custom item types, biometric unlock for the web app and browser extension, and single sign-on (SSO) support. Nice!
