Google Drive is Now Available for Windows 11 on Arm in Beta

Google Drive is now available for Windows 11 on Arm in Beta, and it’s functionally identical to the x64 version minus an Outlook Meet plugin. (Whatever that is.)

“We’re pleased to announce the start of the Drive for Desktop beta support on Windows 11 ARM64 devices,” Google’s Ashwin Bohra writes. “This version contains native ARM64 binaries and offers the same functionality as on other platforms, except the Outlook Meet plugin is not available.”

Google Drive for Windows 11 on Arm requires Microsoft WebView2. This feature is included in Windows 11, but it’s possible to uninstall it, so the installer will prompt you to install WebView2 if you did so.

I did of course install this immediately as this was my only notable software incompatibility in Windows 11 on Arm. Assuming all goes well, I’ll be transitioning back to Google Drive this coming week. So far so good: The experience appears to be identical to that of Google Drive on the x64 version of Windows 11.
