Adobe Acrobat AI Gets Enhanced Contract Capabilities

Adobe Acrobat AI

Adobe today announced new generative AI features for its flagship Acrobat offering via the Acrobat AI Assistant. With this update, Acrobat users can now interact with contracts more effectively.

“Customers open billions of contracts in Adobe Acrobat each month and AI can be a game changer in helping simplify their experience,” Adobe senior vice president Abhigyan Modi says. “We are introducing new capabilities to deliver contract intelligence in Adobe AI Assistant, making it easier for customers to understand and compare these complex documents and providing citations to help them verify responses, all while keeping their data safe.”

New features include:

Contract intelligence. Using Acrobat AI, customers can now auto-detect contracts from scanned and digital documents, generate contract overviews, surface key terms, and generate recommended questions.

Contract summaries. The contract summaries generated by Acrobat AI use clear language and have linked citations so you can quickly get to the source and verify information.

Version checking. Acrobat AI can scan different versions of a contract to check for consistency and discrepancies.

Secure sharing and signing. In addition to reviewing contracts with multiple stakeholders, customers can request electronic signatures from each, all from a single place.

Adobe Acrobat has over 650 million monthly active users (MAUs), and they open over 400 billion PDFs in the app each month, Adobe says. Acrobat AI usage doubled quarter-over-quarter in the fourth quarter of 2024. This offering launched in February 2024 and can be purchased by individuals with a paid Acrobat membership or the free Adobe Reader offering for $4.99 per month.
