Contacts and LinkedIn

I have probably just been oblivious to it, since I am rarely in Contacts except to add or edit a contact, but while I try to get used to the new Outlook, OWA becoming too annoying with its insistence that I summarize emails with Copilot, I noticed the “overview” tab…and the fact that it displays LinkedIn information. Went back to OWA and saw that it was there as well, so, as I said, I have probably just been oblivious.

Two questions:

  • How long have I been missing this?
  • How can I turn it off? I have literally no interest in viewing LinkedIn profiles and I am a little ticked off that Microsoft is comparing my contacts with LinkedIn. I am sure that I was never asked about this. While it might be useful in a business setting, I have absolutely no interest in viewing the LinkedIn profiles of friends, family, acquaintances, and contractors.
