Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is Coming to PlayStation 5 on April 17

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PlayStation 5

The current Xbox console exclusive Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be released on PlayStation 5 on April 17, Sony announced today. The game was released on Xbox, PC, and Game Pass on December 9, and the PS5 version was given a Spring 2025 release date at gamescom 2024.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the latest game from Wolfenstein developer MachineGames, which is now part of Microsoft following its acquisition of Bethesda/Zenimax back in 2021. The game was originally announced as an Xbox exclusive, but it seems that Microsoft is now embracing multiplatform releases for its biggest games.

There will be just four months between the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Xbox and PC and its arrival on PlayStation 5, which is shorter than what Microsoft did before with its other PS5 ports. However, the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages will be released simultaneously on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 on May 15, 2025.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle received solid reviews with an 86 score on Metacritic for the Xbox version. The game isn’t fully finished yet as a story expansion titled The Order of Giants is currently in development. While it has no release date yet, Microsoft may share more details about it during its annual Xbox Game Showcase in June.

PS5 gamers who purchase the premium version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will get two days of early access starting April 15. It will also be interesting to see if MachineGames did some work to optimize the game for Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro. Microsoft not doing a mid-gen refresh for its Xbox Series X means that the PS5 Pro should become the best console to play Xbox games during this console generation.
