T-Mobile spam & phishing protection for SMS

Deutsche Telekom announced that they will activate automatic blocking of Spam and Phishing SMS on their T-Mobile network. Customers don’t have to do anything, the Telekom systems will automatically recognize and block most spam and phishing SMS.

I’ve never had a problem with it, but, thereagain, I don’t really use SMS much (I think I have 3 contacts that I have to use SMS for, the rest are on Signal) and it is already illegal to send spam SMS here anyway, so it is only off-shore criminals that send these SMS anyway, and I’ve had a total of 1 SMS of this kind in the last 10 years…

This was direct from Deutsche Telekom and its T-Mobile users in Germany, I don’t know if they are doing this internationally (E.g. T-Mobile USA).
