Device Encryption

In the latest podcast of Hands on Windows, Paul suggested to turn on device encryption.

I am using Win 11 with version 24H2. I sign in to windows with a local admin account (not using Microsoft Account Login).

I was told that it is best to enable device encryption, so I enabled it. I am concerned because I was not given a recovery key. Can you help me to find the recovery key or do you not recommend that I use device encryption?
