Microsoft Makes Copilot Vision Free to Try on Mobile

Copilot Vision, the new AI feature that enables the consumer version of Microsoft’s Copilot assistant to see what you do in real-time, is now free to try on mobile. Copilot Vision was already free to try on Microsoft Edge (and the Copilot Windows app for Insiders) in the US, but the mobile version required a Copilot Pro subscription until now.

If you’re in the US, Copilot Vision can be accessed by tapping the mic button, then the glasses icon. When enabled, Copilot Vision can answer questions about what you’re seeing and interact with you in real time. It can even provide real-time directions, translate signs, offer step-by-step instructions when troubleshooting appliances, and more.

Copilot Vision is now free to try on mobile  ? Just point your camera and talk to Copilot about what you see.

When Copilot Vision is enabled, Microsoft will store conversation transcripts, which users can delete at any time. However, the company says that it isn’t capturing, storing, or using any user data to train its AI models.

Copilot Pro subscribers in the US will continue to enjoy higher usage limits of Copilot Vision, which Microsoft plans to bring to more markets soon, starting in its Edge browser. Copilot Pro subscribers also get priority access to Microsoft’s most advanced AI models during peak times, as well as early access to experimental features. That includes the new Copilot Actions, which let Copilot complete tasks on the web on your behalf, such as booking a hotel or making a dinner reservation.
