KB5062553 – Microsoft, what did you do to my USB-C ports?

Anyone else experiencing issues with USB-C after KB5062553 ?

I get power over USB-C, but no display signal. Nothing. Nada. Luckily my Asus Zenbook S14 comes with an HDMI port.

I have jumped through the usual hoops to no avail. Direct connection over USB-C to the monitor (bypassing the the dock) doesnt work either. As already mentioned, I get power, but no image. No input signal detected is the error I get. It even picks up the USB mouse, the Logitech Webcam and the Network ports on the dock, but an actual image? Nope.

My two Linux laptops – (same dock, same monitor, same cables) works great (Dell and Lenovo), but a brand new Asus and the latest Windows patch – not so much…

Troubleshooting:

Complete power of, reset of all devices

Uninstall the “USB” drivers from device manager, rebooting to have Windows reinstall

Changing USB-C cables and ports

EventLog research – nothing of interest

Direct connection between monitor and laptop over USB-C (bypassing the dock)

A slew of different /dism commands

Reddit, Goggle, Asus forums and other sites

Submitted a bug report through MS feedback hub

Support case with Asus (not holding my breath)

Anyone else?

(The irony? I recently replaced my M2 Air with this laptop because I wanted to go back to Windows…(facepalm…))

Thanks
