Amazon now offers two less expensive Kindle Colorsoft models, one for kids, with pricing starting at $249.99.
“Our customers love reading Kindle in color,” the Amazon announced explains. “On average, they spend more time on Kindle Colorsoft and read hundreds more pages than on our other Kindle devices.”
Amazon announced its first color Kindle, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, last October, with prices starting at $279.99. That Kindle, which is still available, features a 7-inch Colorsoft display, 32 GB of storage, wireless charging, and USB-C connectivity. But now there are two more color Kindles:
Kindle Colorsoft. This new base model Kindle Colorsoft is mostly identical to the Signature Edition, but it comes with 16 GB of storage and starts at $249.99.
Kindle Colorsoft Kids. This Kindle Colorsoft comes with an illustrated cover, one year of Amazon Kids+, 16 GB of storage, and a two-year no-worry guarantee. It costs $269.99 and up.
