Switching to iPhone

Confession time. I was first a Blackberry fan all those years ago, then Windows Phone (even past its due date), then various types of Androids including several OnePlus devices, and the Pixel for a few generations (I currently use the 9). After all of this, I’ve never had a device that just works — catastrophic failures, inexplicable battery problems, and at times I can’t even get Gmail to load correctly. I’m not here to bash. All of these ecosystems have their plusses and minuses, but one thing always absent from me was the iPhone. I’ve never owned one. That’s about to change.

I realize they’ll be bit of a learning curve, but honestly, I just need something I can rely on to do the most basic of tasks without worrying whether my phone will be hosed the next day. Any thoughts from those switching from Android, and more importantly any tips or suggestions I should be looking out for?
