IFA 2025:Acer Announces 16-Inch Swift Air, More

At a press conference ahead of IFA this week in Berlin, Acer announced several new PCs and accessories. The most notable, perhaps, is a 16-inch Swift Air Copilot+ PC laptop that weighs just 2.18 pounds.

“The Swift Air 16 is built for those who travel frequently and value mobility without compromising performance,” Acer explains. “The laptop’s elegant chassis is crafted from magnesium-aluminum alloy, offering reliable durability while keeping the weight under 2.18 pounds, making it one of the lightest 16-inch laptops available. Plus, the device is available in four color profiles and fits effortlessly into any work setting, from coffee shops and co-working spaces to boardrooms.”

The Swift Air is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors and it can be configured with a 16-inch Full HD+ (1920 x 1200) or 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED display. It comes to the EMEA in November with prices starting at €999.

Other Acer announcements ahead of IFA 2025 include:

Chromebook Plus Spin 514. Powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor, the new Spin 514 can be configured with a Full HD+ or 2.8K display and it provides Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual USB-C ports. Prices start at $699, with availability in October.

TravelMate X14 AI. This 14-inch business-class Copilot+ PC laptop is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, up to 32 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of SSD storage. There are Full HD+ and 2.8K OLED display options, and prices start at $1399 with availability in October.

Predator Helios 18P AI. This gaming laptop provides up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 285HX vPro processor, up to 192 GB of ECC memory, and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with DLSS 4. It has Thunderbolt 5 USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 7, and an 18-inch 4K+ (3840 x 2400) OLED display. It’s coming to the EMEA in Q1 2026 for €3999 and up.
