Search Live is Now Available For All Google App Users in the US

Google AI Mode Search Live

The experimental Search Live feature that Google introduced on its mobile app in June is now generally available in the US. Search Live lets mobile users engage in a voice chat with the new AI Mode in Google Search, and the feature can now understand what users see when they share their camera feed.

“When you go Live with Search, you can have an interactive voice conversation in AI Mode and share your phone’s camera feed. This means Search can see what your camera sees, respond to your questions in real time and connect you with helpful web links to dive even deeper,” Google explained yesterday.

At the moment, Search Live is only available in English in the US. The AI-powered feature can be used to explore your surroundings while traveling, get troubleshooting help, and more. Search Live uses a custom version of Google’s Gemini chatbot, and it can keep working in the background when you switch to another app.

In the Google app, Search Live can be enabled by tapping the new Live icon under the search bar. When using Google Lens, the feature can also be accessed by tapping the new Live button at the bottom of the screen.
