Google revealed today new Google Home and Nest devices designed to take advantage of its new Gemini for Home platform. There are two new Nest cameras, a 3rd-gen Nest Doorbell, plus a new indoor camera and video doorbell from Walmart’s onn brand. The new Google Home speaker that the company teased during its Made by Google event in August won’t be coming until next year, however.
“Today, we’re introducing a new portfolio of devices for the home built on a focused, Gemini-first hardware philosophy. Our strategy is twofold: to create flagship Google Home and Nest devices that deliver the best, most optimized Gemini experiences, while working with partners to give you the widest possible choice in form factors, designs, and price points to choose from,” the company said today.
Google announced today three new wired cameras: The 3rd-gen Nest Cam Indoor, the 2nd-gen Nest Cam Outdoor, and the 3rd-gen Nest Doorbell. All of them support 2K HDR video, improved low-light performance, and wider viewing angles. This will allow users to see even more details and help the new Gemini for Home assistant to understand what’s happening in real time. The outdoor camera and doorbell are also IP56 rated and designed to resist dust, snow, and rain.
The redesigned Google Home app will let users easily zoom in and crop the camera view to stay focused on important spots. With Gemini for Home, users can also ask details about what happened throughout the day using natural language prompts, with the new Home Brief feature also offering a summary of what happened in the house. Gemini for Home can also send more detailed alerts that can identify package deliveries, vehicles, animals, and people.
The three new Nest cameras still use encrypted video by default, and Google is also doubling the event video history from three to six hours. Some features, such as AI-powered notifications and Home Brief, will be available through new Google Home Premium subscription plans.
At $10/month (or $100 per year), Google Home Premium Standard will offer 30 days of event-based history, intelligent alerts, Gemini Live on supported speakers, and automation features in the Google Home app. The $20/month (or $200 per year) Advanced Plan will include everything in the Standard plan plus 60 days of event-based history, 10 days of 24/7 history for Nest Cams and Doorbells, search video history, event descriptions, daily summaries, and more descriptive alerts in notifications.

The $99.99 Nest Cam Indoor is available in Snow, Hazel, and Berry, while the $149.99 Nest Cam Outdoor is available in Snow and Hazel. Both cameras are available starting today on the Google Store and at major retailers in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The $179.99 Nest Doorbell is available in Snow, Hazel, and Linen, but it’s only shipping in the US and Canada at the moment.
Walmart is also releasing more affordable Gemini for Home devices with the onn Indoor Camera Wired and onn Video Doorbell Wired. The two cameras are limited to a 1080p resolution, but they support the same intelligent features as Google’s new Nest Cam and Doorbell models.
The two devices are available to purchase today from walmart.com and the company’s retail stores in the US. The onn Indoor Camera Wired is priced at $22.96, while the onn Video Doorbell Wired costs $49.86.

The Google Home Speaker briefly appeared during Google’s recent Made by Google event livestream, but it won’t start shipping until next spring. That’s quite unfortunate, as there hasn’t been a new Google speaker since the release of the Nest Audio back in 2020. Amazon also just announced new Echo speakers and smart displays during its big hardware event yesterday.
“The timeline for this new speaker is intentional,” Google said today. “Our top priority is rolling out Gemini for Home in early access to the tens of millions of speakers and smart displays already in your homes.”
The new Google Home Speaker, which looks like a mix between Apple’s HomePod mini and an Amazon Echo Dot, will play sound in every direction and feature a new light ring indicating when Gemini is listening and responding. A physical button to mute the microphone is still present, and Google announced that it will be possible to pair two Google Home Speakers with a Google TV Streamer to enjoy surround-sound audio.
The Google Home Speaker will be available in Porcelain, Hazel, Jade, and Berry, and it will launch in Spring 2026 for $99. Launch markets will include the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
