Copilot on Windows 11 Update is Rolling Out Across All Insider Channels

Microsoft is rolling out an update to the Copilot app on Windows 11 across all channels in the Windows Insider Program. This update adds two major changes to the app:

Connectors

This feature lets you connect Copilot to consumer services like OneDrive, Outlook (email, contacts, and calendar), Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts. Then, you can use natural language to search across all the connected services.

Some examples include:

  • “What’s the email address for Sarah?”
  • “Find my school notes from last week.”

This feature is opt-in, Microsoft notes, and you can do that by navigating to the Settings page in Copilot.

Document creation and export

Now, you can create and then export Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations with Copilot on Windows 11. Sample prompts include:

  • “Export this text to a Word document.”
  • “Create an Excel file from this table.”

For responses that are 600 characters or more, Copilot on Windows 11 also now provides an obvious “Export” button by default so you can send that text to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or PDF.

If you have a PC enrolled in any Insider channel, look for Copilot app version 1.25095.161.0 or higher if you’d like to preview these new features before they head to stable.
