I know Paul has been a big proponent of the Affinity suite of apps in the past as an alternative to Adobe. I’ve previously purchased them and really enjoyed using them in the past. I recall that Canva acquired them a while back, and now they’ve pulled the current versions (v2) of all of them from both the Windows Store and their website at https://affinity.serif.com.
There’s a generic teaser that “Creative Freedom is Coming” but otherwise they’re pretty scant on details. I signed up for updates, but I was curious whether anyone knows more about the long-term plans for this suite. While I’m no fan of Adobe’s frankly predatory subscription model, I’m growing cautious about casting my lot with the Affinity brand at this point.
