Snapdragon Control Panel Improves the Gaming Experience on Windows 11 on Arm

Qualcomm today released a control panel for Snapdragon X-based PCs running Windows 11 on Arm that optimizes games for the platform and provides the latest graphics drivers. Plus, Fortnite is now compatible on the platform as well.

“We’re ecstatic to announce general availability of Snapdragon Control Panel, succeeding Qualcomm Adreno Control Panel for developers earlier this year,” Qualcomm’s Kevin Hawkins writes. “The new Snapdragon Control Panel automatically detects the games, including your Steam library, that you have installed on your device and then lets you modify settings to optimize quality and performance via an application profile manager. These settings include super resolution, framerate cap, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, level of detail and texture filtering — with more still to come.”

The Snapdragon Control Panel also notifies you when there are new drivers for the Snapdragon X chips, including graphics drivers that might improve the gaming experience. And if you have a Snapdragon X Elite-based PC—and, soon, a Snapdragon X2-based PC—you also get X86 Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) that adds supports for more games via improvements to Microsoft’s Prism emulator; this requires the latest Windows Update.

As exciting, Fortnite and Easy Anti-Cheat are now available on Snapdragon X-based PCs, with Fortnite running at up to 120 FPS. Easy Anti-Cheat also works with Tencent’s Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE), Roblox Hyperion, Denuvo by Irdeto, InProtect GameGuard, BattleEye, and Uncheater.
