Outer Worlds 2 – So Many Bugs

Don’t know if anyone plays Outer Worlds 2 but until the patch came out on 11/11 the game had so many bugs (it still does they are just now manageable). I had stopped playing in early November (maybe the 3rd) waiting for things to get fixed. Well after seeing somethings still broken after the 11/11 patch when I booted up the game last week, I again e-mailed Obsidian. Apparently I had progressed “too far” in the game and now a one of the companions is no longer recruitable (apparently they die if other conditions are not met). I was told, sorry, too bad start over or go to an older save. So basically the 40 hours I played the game in the first week and a half (including the 5 days of early access for having the premium edition) were for nothing.

Forcibly being a beta tester for a game, and then being told “Oh yea, you need to start over”. Not acceptable. I e-mailed Phil Spencer, CC’d Nadella, and the CEO of Obsidian. There should be an apology posted by Obsidian for releasing an “incomplete” game, everyone should get a $5 refund, and if you had the premium an extra $5 because those “early access” days were useless. This type of thing is ridiculous. If you haven’t been playing do a search for “Inez Bugs” to see how many posts and complaints there are. It’s crazy. Makes a Bethesda game seem well put together.
