Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to Game Pass in December, along with five new games. It will replace the previous game in the series, Mortal Kombat 11, which will leave the Game Pass library on December 15.
This is probably not obvious, but Mortal Kombat 1 is the second reboot in the popular fighting game series after 2011’s Mortal Kombat, which is also known as Mortal Kombat 9. Mortal Kombat 1 is the first game in the series to support cross-play and cross-progression, and it also introduces a seasonal Invasions mode with board game and RPG systems.
The other games coming to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass in December include the sci-fi horror game Routine, the roguelike action miner Dome Keeper, and the soulslike deck builder Death Howl. The latter will also be coming to Game Pass on its launch day.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is also coming to Xbox Game Pass Premium about a year after its initial release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Premium subscribers are also getting access to Monster Train 2, Spray Paint Simulator, and 33 Immortals in December. As for the base Game Pass Core tier, it’s also getting three new games on December 3: Stellaris, World War Z: Aftermath, and Medieval Dynasty.

I already mentioned that Mortal Kombat 11 will leave the Game Pass library on December 15, and that will also be the case for Still Wakes the Deep and Wildfrost. Carrion and Hell Let Loose will also be going away on December 31. As usual, Game Pass members can purchase these games with a 20% discount before their removal from the service.
